Last December, some of our girls took part in a writing competition run by YoungWriters, called ‘Stranger Sagas’. This competition was organised in conjunction with secondary schools all over the UK and over 20 000 entries were received. We are thrilled that over 60 girls have been selected to have their mini sagas published. Each pupil have received a certificate to acknowledge their creativity and will have their writing published in a Merseyside edition. Winners for this competition will be announced in the Spring Term. Aside the prizes for the individuals, the school with the best set of entries will win £1000 and a Young Writer’s Award of Excellence. We await further news on this but well done to those who have made the school proud!
