On 6th, 7th and 9th February, all Year 11 students took part in mock interviews with local employers.
We had representatives from Deloitte, American Airlines, Barclays, Home Office, Edge Hill University, Knowsley Community College, Hope University, PWC and Positive Futures; all with experience in interviewing.
Some of the quotes from employers following the interviews, included:
“Great school, it was a pleasure to meet the students at Holly Lodge. I am very impressed with the young ladies I interviewed and wish them the best for the future.”
“As always a great event. School students were amazing.”
They will all receive their own personal feedback sheets together with a copy of their completed application forms with suggestions for improvements to help them with any future applications and interviews.Following on from this, we held a Careers’ Event in school on Thursday 16th February with 25 local colleges, universities and training providers coming into school to help Year 10, Year 11 and our Sixth Form plant their next steps and get advice about courses and career options.
All students took advantage of having so many providers available to them and visited many stands, asking questions and, filling in application forms and getting advice.
