On Wednesday 7th February the year 7’s and 8’s had a visit from BAE Systems, RAF & Royal Navy Education Programme Roadshow. The roadshow demonstrated that the Maths we are studying here on a daily basis is the same Maths used in a large number of high profile professions. During the very interactive show some of the girls came up to help solve a number of problems, including magic tricks, planning the allocation of aircraft on an aircraft carrier and much more. The students were lucky enough to see a propeller which was used to set the world recorded for the highest flight without an aircraft, but by far the most popular was the visit of Miya the robot!
