IQM Report
We are delighted to let you know that on 17th January we have been successful in our re-accreditation to IQM (Inclusion Quality mark). IQM is a nationally recognised organisation who sends in assessors to schools to inspect inclusion provision and ethos.
The assessor spent two days with us and his report is extremely complimentary. You can find the full report on our website:

Website address
*****Please make sure that if you want to check anything on the website (closures / dates etc) you type in the exact address as above. There was some confusion a couple of weeks ago when some people simply googled ‘Holly Lodge’ and got the home page of Holly Lodge Birmingham – which was closed due to the bad weather!*****

Alder Hey work experience
We received a lovely e-mail from the Practice Education Facilitator at Alder Hey where some of our post 16 students do work experience as part of their Health and Social Care course. Jan was kind enough to say ‘They are an enthusiastic and engaging group who are willing to work and develop their skills and knowledge. They are a credit to their school and teachers’. Well done Y12 BTEC trainees!

Natasha Jonas visit
On 21st January we were delighted to welcome Olympic boxer Natasha Jonas to the school. The PE Department is running a Sky Sports project and we are lucky to have Natasha as our mentor for the scheme. Natasha is five times national champion, European champion and is the first female British boxer to ever qualify and compete in an Olympic Games.
Natasha was our guest speaker in the year 7 assembly, advised the project cohort and delivered boxing sessions for our pupils. It was absolute honour to have such a dedicated, talented and inspiring role model to meet our pupils and staff.
Natasha later tweeted: ‘Could I have asked for any better school than Holly Lodge Girls?! Thank you to all staff and pupils who made my day so amazing!’
