Fifty-six of our Year Y11 students attended a session with Deloitte staff where they looked at what made a good interview and had an opportunity to consider their own strengths and to perfect their interview technique.  Deloitte staff were enormously impressed with their maturity and insight.

This session helped prepare the students for mock interviews, which took place over two days in February.  We had twenty-two employers from a range of North West companies who gave each Year 11 student feedback on their interview skills.

The employers included: the Home Office, Edge Hill University, Hope University, JMU, Liverpool One, Knowsley Community College, Liverpool Chamber Training, Price Waterhouse Cooper and Deloitte.

The girls were very impressive.  Two employers commented that they had performed better than graduates they had recently interviewed.

We hope this event will have given our students valuable experience in applying for courses and jobs, in improving their interview technique and giving them confidence.
